The NGO Convention on the Respect of Human Rights (CRDH) condemns the case of the popular justice recorded on Wednesday, January 1st in Muraimbwa, a region located in the territory of Mambasa, Ituri.

The population killed three people by machetes. They are Kavira Lwalemene, 60, Kavira Kanyungu, 20, and Masika, 2. They had given yams to their hungry neighbours who died after eating. This situation caused the popular uprising that resulted in the murder of 3 people.

Kasereka Sivamwenda, THE focal point of CRDH in Mambasa, lambasted this behaviour of the population and asked him to confide in the relevant services in case of problems.

"People's justice is not good, the population must stop with this behavior. I can confirm that what happened was not a massacre but a social conflict," revealed Kasereka Sivamwenda.
