In view of the peace-building processes in Beni, the DRC's central government has endowed the Congolese National Police (PNC) city of Beni. The ceremony to hand over these brand new jeeps was presided over by the governor of North Kivu province, Nzanzu Kasivita Carly, in the precincts of the General Staff PNC city of Beni.

According to the provincial governor, this endowment is the work of the President of the Republic, Félix Antoine Tshisekedi, in order to enable the police to carry out their mission of securing the population and their property.

The North Kivu provincial authority said three jeeps will serve the town of Beni and two more will be handed over to the Beni territory police station.

However, Nzanzu Kasivita Carly called on the police to properly manage these devices, which will be used as means of transport for security purposes.
