During a press conference held in Lubumbashi on Wednesday, Antoine-Gabriel Kyungu Wa Kumwanza, president of the Union of Nationalists and Federalists of Congo (UNAFEC), spoke out about blocking his appointment as chairman of the council administration of the National Railway Society of Congo and reveals that there are cases of embezzlement and corruption in this institution.
"There will be God's answer about my appointment. Félix Tshisekedi had responded to UNAFEC's support by appointing me. The truth is that Kyungu frightens those in power. At Gecamines and SNCC, there have been many cases of embezzlement and corruption. An organized mafia. This is what justifies the blocking of the change of the administrative committee," he said.
He added: "Hundreds of millions of dollars are disappearing into these businesses. And it is God who will kick out these people who are destroying gecamines. »
It is worth recalling that six months ago since Gabriel Kyungu, Fabien Mutomb and Sama Lukonde were appointed respectively to head the SNCC and the Generale of Quarries and Mines (Gecamines), by the President of the Republic , but these have not yet been notified by the Minister of Portfolio.
