26 fighters went on Sunday 29 December to Cantine-Aloya, baswagha Madiwe grouping in the Beni-Mbau area of Beni territory, North Kivu province.
According to the self-proclaimed Dragon commander in charge of these fighters, they decided to leave the scrub to join the army in order to contribute to the pacification of the region. Among the militiamen are two minor children.
For their part, the forces of the square welcome this commitment and call on other armed groups that are dragging in the bush to join the others so that peace can return to this corner of Beni territory.
These militiamen are in the hands of the local military authorities, according to local civil society.
